Big gatherings are still looked down on in COVID times, and this recipe is definitely meant as finger food for many people at a party or event. So, to adjust, I changed the amounts to snack size, for myself and family, rather than for all of our friends. I cut down all of the ingredient amounts and it worked perfectly. These sliders are a delicious step up from a plain ham and cheese sandwich. I drizzled the dijon sauce right over the top of these sliders and popped them in the oven. It is that easy!
Ingredients ~
12 slider rolls
8 ounces cheese, Swiss or cheddar
12 slices good quality ham, or more, if desired
1/2 cup salted butter, melted
2 teaspoons dijon mustard
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions ~
Spray a 9x13’’ dish with baking spray. Set aside.
Assemble the sandwiches: Slice the rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish. Layer 1-2 slices of ham and cheese on each roll and cover with roll tops.
Make the sauce: In a small bowl mix together the melted butter, mustard, grated onion, and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon the sauce over the tops of the sandwiches. Allow rolls to rest for 10-15 minutes before baking, or refrigerate for up to 1-2 days (depending on how fresh your ingredients are).
Bake at 350 degrees F for about 15 minutes, or until warmed through and the cheese is melted.
